Average Car Insurance Cost for Chrysler 300

When shopping for car insurance, how much you pay depends on the policy you choose. Liability-only coverage protects others if you’re in an accident. It’s usually the cheapest option, but it won’t cover the cost of fixing your car.

Full coverage combines liability insurance with comprehensive and collision coverage to protect your vehicle as well. Comprehensive insurance covers damage from things like theft, vandalism, and weather. Collision insurance covers accident repairs, even if you’re at fault.

The cost difference can be dramatic. Check out the table below to compare average monthly premiums for the Chrysler 300 with the average rates for all vehicles.

Seems Like Bait and Switch
The price is totally ridiculous. I’ve been with State Farm for 48 years, and over the past four years my rates have been extremely high at times. I have every discount possible, and because I went over 7,500 miles by 717 miles due to a trip to Florida, I lost my entire Drive Safe discount except for $5. It seems a bit extreme to be penalized for almost the entire discount based on the idea that I might go over 7,500 miles again. I’m very disappointed with that process.

Chrysler 300 Insurance Rates by Driver Age

Your years of experience behind the wheel directly affect how much you pay for Chrysler 300 insurance. For example, teens pay much more than older drivers because they’re more likely to get into an accident, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).[4]

But as drivers gain experience, their crash risks — and insurance premiums — tend to go down. Older drivers typically pay the cheapest rates thanks to their years behind the wheel.

Here’s a look at average Chrysler 300 insurance costs by driver age, based on Compare.com data.

Cheapest Chrysler 300 car insurance for teens and drivers younger than 25

Drivers younger than 20 are much more likely to get into serious — and even deadly — car accidents than older, more experienced drivers. The combination of inexperience and risky behaviors makes teens the most costly group to insure.

But teens can still find some relief by choosing the right company.

Here’s a look at the cheapest insurers for teen 300 drivers, according to our data.

Senior drivers usually benefit from decades of experience and safer driving habits. And insurers reward that lowered risk with lower rates. Many older drivers intentionally avoid nighttime driving and challenging road conditions. Plus, they tend to follow speed limits and traffic laws more than younger drivers.[5]

But these already low average rates don’t necessarily limit your savings possibilities. These five companies have average car insurance costs that are significantly cheaper than what the typical senior pays, according to Compare.com data.

Chrysler 300 Insurance Rates by Driving Record

Your driving record carries enormous weight when insurers calculate your 300 premiums. Insurance companies price policies based on expected claim costs, and traffic violations or accidents show them you’re more likely to file future claims.

Cheapest Chrysler 300 insurance for drivers with a speeding ticket

A recent speeding ticket raises your Chrysler 300 insurance because driving faster dramatically increases your crash risk. When you speed, you have less reaction time, need more distance to stop, and face worse outcomes if you crash.[6] All of these factors contribute to a higher risk, which means more expensive car insurance.

But you can limit the blow by choosing the right company. The chart below shows the cheapest insurers for drivers with recent speeding tickets, according to our data.

An at-fault accident signals to insurers that you’re more likely to file claims down the road. And that adds up to higher rates.

In fact, most insurers will raise your rates by a certain percentage if you file a claim for an at-fault accident above a certain dollar amount. But the exact percentage and how long it bumps up your rates depend on the insurance company.[7]

These companies consistently offer some of the most affordable premiums for 300 drivers with a recent accident, according to Compare.com data.

A driving under the influence (DUI) conviction can make it difficult to find cheap insurance for your Chrysler 300. And sometimes it may even make it a struggle to find coverage at all.

Driving drunk makes you four times more likely to have an accident, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).[8] And people with one DUI conviction are likely to drive under the influence again, according to the CDC.[9]

All these factors add up to the highest rate hikes of any infraction. Even so, the companies below may help you limit the inevitable rate increases if you drive a 300 and have a DUI.

Deep Dive: What Affects Chrysler 300 Car Insurance Rates?

The Chrysler 300’s design and performance play a big role in your insurance premiums. Some features of the 300 that influence your rates include:

  • Minimal safety features: The 300 Touring model lacks blind-spot alert, and collision warning is optional on most trims. Fewer safety features can push up rates because you’re more likely to cause an accident.

  • Hard-to-find parts: Since Chrysler discontinued the 300, replacement parts are harder to find. More expensive parts mean more expensive insurance rates.

  • Performance: As a luxury performance sedan, the 300C hits 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. High-performance vehicles can cost more to insure because performance can translate to costly repairs.

  • High vehicle value: The 2023 300 has a resale value of $37,740, but prices vary by year. Higher-value vehicles cost more to repair or replace, so you’ll pay more for auto coverage.

  • Low theft risk: The 300 isn’t a common theft target. But full-size sedans with luxury features can attract thieves, increasing the risk that you’ll file a claim.

How to Get Cheaper Car Insurance for Your Chrysler 300

Silver Chrysler 300 sedan, front three-quarter view, parked on a paved lot beside a dark sedan.

The Chrysler 300’s luxury status and performance features can drive up rates. Here are some tips to bring your premiums down:

  • Double-check safety features. When shopping for the 300, check that it comes with optional safety features that can qualify you for discounts.

  • Ask about telematics programs. If you practice safe driving habits, programs like Allstate’s Drivewise and USAA’s SafePilot can lower your premiums.

  • Bundle coverage with the same company. The 300’s premiums are higher than average, but bundling your auto policy with homeowners or renters insurance can help keep costs down.

  • Compare quotes. Shopping around can help you score the best deal. Compare quotes from at least three companies to make sure you get the best deal.
