Key Takeaways
  • The average cost of coverage for a Jaguar F-Type is $187 per month, which is about 15% higher than the national average for all vehicles.

  • USAA offers the cheapest F-Type coverage, at $108 per month.

  • The F-Type’s high value and sporty design raise premiums, but strong safety features and low theft risk help keep insurance costs down.

Average Car Insurance Cost for the Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type’s luxury sports status means you’ll pay more to insure it than you would for a modest family sedan, regardless of the coverage levels you choose.

A liability-only policy is the legal minimum in most U.S. states and typically comes with a lower premium, but it only pays for injuries and property damage you cause to others.

To cover damage to your F-Type, you’ll need full coverage, which includes collision and comprehensive insurance. Collision coverage pays for damage to your car after an at-fault accident. Comprehensive coverage pays for non-collision damage from theft, vandalism, fire, and weather events.

The table below highlights the average monthly premiums for the Jaguar F-Type compared to the average rates for all vehicles, according to Compare.com data.

Rate hikes yet again. Leaving USAA after 28 years.
Reviewed in Arizona on July 2025
They have significantly increased rates over the last few years. I have excellent credit, a clean driving record, and no claims, yet rates increased again this renewal by another $160 per 6 months. My rate has increased over $400 in the last 18 months to now $1562.68 for 6 months.

Our experience with USAA was horrendous. We lost our home to Hurricane Beryl. Having been a member for 27 years and never making any claims, this experience was indescribable. USAA, to whom we had paid $410.36 for years, had me doing their job. No tickets, no DUI, and a 20-year-old driver. That is too expensive for anyone. After Beryl, there was no power, which meant no electricity, no internet, no open stores, no food, and no gas. By the beginning of the second month, USAA tried to make Texas Wind and Air responsible, then FEMA, for paying for the broken roof, fallen trees, flooded home, and damaged AC. We decided to pack up and move on our own dime again. USAA is and always will be a ripoff. Very expensive to be a USAA member. Never again. We are just fine with AAA. Personally, the old ways of taking care of folks with insurance are only found and available with AAA. USAA has not stopped offering me a job with their claims department since Hurricane Beryl, though. I must know what I am doing better than my agent, who got fired for drinking and falsifying claims documents. There's more to the storyline with USAA. Plan on having to call them constantly to make sure they are at work.

Why we picked this company

USAA can be an excellent match if you want strong protection for a high-value sports car without sky‑high premiums. Its lower-than-average rates for performance and luxury vehicles, combined with solid claims support, make it a great choice for F-Type drivers in the military community.

And if you don’t drive your Jaguar often, you could save with USAA’s SafePilot or SafePilot Miles programs.

Pros
  • Cheap average rates for F-Type drivers

  • Strong claims satisfaction ratings[1]

  • 24/7 claims filing

Cons
  • Military-only eligibility

  • Few in-person locations

  • Diminishing deductible not available

Currently Disgruntled with State Farm Insurance
Reviewed in Oregon on December 2025
Due to State Farm also being our homeowner insurance, and due to them canceling our homeowner insurance and the emotional effect of this cancellation, we are not too happy with State Farm. When pricing other home insurance providers, we learned from these potential providers that we were paying considerably higher for our State Farm car insurance than other insurance companies. Thus, if I were to advise a friend regarding State Farm, I would tell them my experience was that I found much cheaper car insurance with other providers. However, the agent LuAnn Davidson, our State Farm agent, on four different occasions went to bat for us (took our side) when we had issues with State Farm and caused the issue to be resolved in our favor. We were with State Farm for more than 10 years. I would advise my friend if you are going with State Farm, have LuAnn be your agent.

  • Affordable premiums for F-Type drivers

Cons
  • Limited optional coverages

  • Gap coverage not available

  • Higher rates for high-risk drivers

Options like accident forgiveness and a wide range of add‑on coverages, like gap insurance and extended warranty coverage, can help shield you from rate increases after a claim. Jaguar F-Type Insurance Rates by Model Year

Jaguar discontinued the F-Type luxury sports car in 2024. But even if you have an older model, the F-Type still has higher-than-average insurance costs. That’s largely because it’s an expensive vehicle. The 2024 model had a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of nearly $78,000.[2]

Higher value and newer vehicles generally cost more to insure since insurers would have to pay more to replace them if you total your car.

Here’s a look at average costs by model year for the Jaguar F-Type, based on our data.

Jaguar F-Type Insurance Rates by Driver Age

If you’re a more experienced driver, you’ll likely pay less to insure your Jaguar F-Type. After all, age and experience are major factors in crash risks and insurance rates.

Teen drivers typically face the highest costs due to inexperience and higher accident rates. Premiums generally drop in your 20s and level out in midlife as you gain more driving experience.

By your senior years, rates drop to the lowest rates of any age group, thanks to decades of driving experience and typically safer driving habits.

Check out our breakdown of F-Type insurance costs by age group in the table below.

Cheapest F-Type car insurance for teens and drivers younger than 25

Put a teen driver behind the wheel of a Jaguar F-Type, and you’ll see some of the highest insurance rates around. Drivers ages 16–19 have the highest crash rates of any age group. They’re also more prone to taking risks like speeding, not wearing a seat belt, and texting while driving.[4]

Both of these factors are major contributors to the relatively sky-high rates for young F-Type drivers.

Here’s a look at the cheapest companies for young F-Type owners, according to our data.

Cheapest Rates for Young Drivers

Cheapest F-Type car insurance for seniors

Seniors Jaguar F-Type owners can enjoy cruising with some of the lowest insurance rates available. Older drivers tend to drive fewer miles, take fewer risks, and have lower crash rates, which helps them get the lowest car insurance premiums.[5]

We’ve highlighted the cheapest insurers for senior Jaguar F-Type owners in the chart below.

Jaguar F-Type Insurance Rates by Driving Record

Few factors influence car insurance rates more than your driving record. A clean record, free of accidents and moving violations, can usually get you the cheapest insurance rates.

On the other hand, accidents, tickets, and driving under the influence (DUI) lead to higher premiums because they signal to insurers that you’re a high-risk driver. If you’re struggling to find affordable coverage with violations on your record, some insurers specialize in high-risk coverage.

Here are the average monthly premiums for F-Type owners by driving record, according to Compare.com data.

Cheapest F-Type insurance for drivers with a speeding ticket

While your F-Type might be capable of speeds north of 150 mph, it could also earn you a ticket. And tickets come with higher insurance premiums. Insurers know speed is a major contributor to traffic accidents, including 29% of fatal ones.[6] A speeding ticket flags you as a high-risk driver, and your insurer may raise your rates as a result.

Take a look at the cheapest insurers for F-Type owners with a recent speeding ticket, based on our research.

Cheapest Rates With a Ticket

Cheapest F-Type insurance for drivers with an accident

Causing an accident can substantially increase your insurance rates. Auto claims cost insurance companies money and may signal you’re more likely to file another one in the future, so companies offset that risk by charging you higher rates.

The chart below lists the cheapest companies for Jaguar F-Type drivers with a recent accident, according to Compare.com data.

Cheapest Rates With an Accident

Cheapest F-Type insurance for drivers with a DUI

Getting behind the wheel intoxicated increases your accident risk. In fact, a blood alcohol level of .08 (the legal limit in most states) makes you four times more likely to crash.[7]

Insurers know the risks and raise rates accordingly for drivers with a DUI conviction. And in most states, you’ll also need to have your insurer file an SR-22 or FR-44 form to reinstate your license.

The chart below highlights the cheapest companies and average monthly premiums for Jaguar F-Type drivers with an at-fault accident on their record, according to our data.

Deep Dive: What Affects Jaguar F-Type Car Insurance Rates?

Some car insurance rating factors are universal, regardless of the vehicle’s make and model. But a luxury sports car, such as the Jaguar F-Type, has characteristics that can either increase or decrease your premiums.

  • High vehicle value: Depending on the trim line, the MSRP of the 2024 Jaguar F-Type ranges from a $77,900 to $115,000. Older F-Types have lower values, but repairing or replacing an F-Type costs insurers more.

  • Luxury performance: High-performance and high-horsepower cars tend to have higher accident and crash severity rates compared to average vehicles. Your insurer will take this into account when calculating your F-Type premium.[8]

  • Safety features: The 2024 F-Type is equipped with a range of standard safety features, including blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and rear-traffic alert. Many insurers offer discounts and lower rates for vehicles with safety technology.

  • Vehicle theft rates: Despite its high value, the F-Type isn’t among the most-stolen vehicles in the U.S., according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau’s 2024 theft report. Its overall lower theft risk could help mitigate the cost to insure one.

How to Get Cheaper Car Insurance for Your Jaguar F-Type

Even though you’ll pay more to insure a powerful luxury vehicle like the F-Type, that doesn’t mean you have to overpay. Choosing the right insurer and coverage can make a big difference in your monthly premium.

  • Try a usage-based program. If you don’t drive your F-Type often, a telematics or pay‑per‑mile plan can reward your low mileage and smooth driving with noticeable savings over time.

  • Upgrade your anti-theft protection. High-end sports cars can attract attention, so adding a quality immobilizer, GPS tracker, or other anti‑theft device might unlock extra savings on your comprehensive coverage.

  • Raise your deductibles. Choosing higher collision and comprehensive deductibles can reduce your monthly premium, which can be particularly helpful when insuring an expensive-to-repair model like the F-Type.

  • Compare car insurance quotes. Getting quotes from multiple insurers is the best way to make sure you’re not overpaying. Ensure that all policy limits, coverages, and deductibles match when comparing quotes.
