How Does Amica Auto Insurance Work?

Amica Auto Insurance Payments

Amica offers several payment options. If you pay for your entire premium in full instead of opting to split your payments into monthly installments, you can get a discount on your insurance rates. However, if monthly payments fit your budget better, their AutoPay option will automatically charge you each time your bill is due, and you can get additional discounts for signing up for AutoPay.

Signing up for paperless billing is another way to secure a discount – they’ll send your policy documents and bills electronically.

Amica Auto Insurance Rate Increases

Like any auto insurance provider, Amica weighs several factors when determining your auto insurance rate. Amica’s MAIP rate determination identifies several factors that can affect your rate:

  • The auto bodily injury limit you had with your previous car insurance policy
  • The presence of adaptive headlights in your vehicle
  • Whether you have a forward collision warning system in your vehicle
  • Equipping your vehicle with electronic stability control

Amica also considers factors like whether you’ve taken an approved driver’s training class.

Changes in your driving record, including speeding tickets and accidents, can cause your insurance rates to increase. However, Amica offers optional Accident Forgiveness coverage that can help to keep your rates from going up if you’re in an accident. This coverage may waive an accident surcharge, so your rates stay low.

Amica Auto Insurance Claims

Amica makes it easy to quickly file your auto claim. You can report a claim by phone or log into your account to report a claim online.

When you report a claim online they make it easy to upload and view your claim documents and track your claim’s process. It’s also possible to file your claim by chatting with a live representative online. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm ET, and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm ET.
