Key Takeaways
  • The average overall monthly cost for Porsche Panamera insurance is $221, which is about 33% higher than the national average.

  • USAA is the cheapest Panamera insurer, with an average monthly premium of $110.

  • A Porsche Panamera costs more to insure than standard vehicles, likely because it’s a luxury, high-performance vehicle with expensive parts and repair costs.

Average Car Insurance Cost for Porsche Panamera

When you’re looking for Porsche Panamera insurance, you’ll notice rates can vary quite a bit depending on the type of policy you choose.

Liability-only policies offer the basics, covering injuries to other people and their property if you’re at fault, but they don’t cover your Porsche. Full coverage combines liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage. Collision kicks in if you hit another vehicle or object, while comprehensive covers things like fire, theft, vandalism, and weather-related damage.[1]

Here’s how average Panamera insurance rates compare to all vehicles, according to Compare.com data.

The Save & Drive Pod Doesn't Save Much

Not sure where to place the Drive Safe app on the fob in the vehicle. One month I save a little, the next month it's up again. I don't drive every day like most. I'm retired and have this new truck, which I don't see ever putting on the national average miles. I may drive it once or twice a month. Yet my savings don't reflect that. I've been insured with State Farm since I was 17. I'm 62. I should be saving a lot more.

Cheapest Porsche Panamera car insurance for teens and drivers younger than 25

Porsche Panamera car insurance rates are highest for young drivers because they’re at the greatest risk of a crash. Teens and drivers younger than 25 have accident rates several times higher than older drivers, and they file more claims than any other age group.[6] That said, companies weigh age differently, so comparing quotes can help you find lower rates.

Check out the table below for the cheapest insurance companies for Panamera drivers younger than 25, according to our data.

Cheapest Rates for Young Drivers

Cheapest Porsche Panamera car insurance for seniors

Seniors typically pay the lowest Porsche Panamera insurance rates because they drive fewer miles and tend to avoid risky driving behaviors, such as speeding, that can lead to accidents. Some companies also offer senior-specific discounts to help the age group save even more on car insurance.[7]

The following chart shows average costs from the cheapest car insurance companies for senior Panamera drivers, based on Compare.com data.

Porsche Panamera Insurance Rates by Driving Record

Your driving record has a significant effect on your car insurance costs because insurers use past behavior to determine your likelihood of filing a claim.[5] A single speeding ticket can raise your rates by an average of 34%, while a DUI can increase your insurance cost by around 61%, according to our research.

Let’s take a look at the table below to see how average rates for the Porsche Panamera differ by driving record, based on our data.

Panamera rates are substantially higher after an accident or DUI than for drivers with a clean record.

Cheapest Porsche Panamera insurance for drivers with a speeding ticket

Speeding tickets increase crash risk and severity, which is why you’ll usually pay more for Porsche Panamera insurance after a ticket. Your rates may be even higher if you drive 10 mph or more over the speed limit, as that increases the risk of injury to others.[8]

But how companies calculate rates and weigh tickets differ, so comparing car insurance quotes can limit the impact on your premium after a ticket. Here’s a list of the cheapest companies for Panamera drivers after a speeding ticket, according to our data.

Cheapest Rates With a Ticket

Cheapest Porsche Panamera insurance for drivers with an accident

Causing an accident will usually raise your Porsche Panamera insurance costs even higher than a speeding ticket. Rates are typically higher for at least three years, though it varies by insurance company.[9] Comparing quotes can help you determine which insurers offer the best rates for drivers after an at-fault accident.

Check out the chart below to see which insurance companies offer the cheapest rates for Panamera drivers after an at-fault accident, according to Compare.com data.

Cheapest Rates With an Accident

Cheapest Porsche Panamera insurance for drivers with a DUI

A DUI triggers the steepest rate increase of any driving infraction because impaired driving dramatically increases crash risk and fatality rates. Drunk driving accounted for 30% of all U.S. traffic fatalities in 2023.[10]

Although insurers significantly raise insurance costs, some specialize in high-risk drivers, so shopping around can help.

Below is a chart showing the cheapest insurance companies for Panamera drivers with a DUI conviction, based on our data.

Deep Dive: What Affects Porsche Panamera Car Insurance Rates?

High-end luxury and sports cars like the Panamera have several traits that make their average cost higher than other vehicles:

  • Vehicle value and repair costs: The 2026 Porsche Panamera has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $112,450, is expensive to repair, and retains its value well.[11] All these factors mean insurers will pay more for claims, which will cause you to pay higher car insurance rates.

  • High-performance vehicle: Insurers may consider the Panamera a higher risk for serious accidents due to its powerful engine and high-performance capability. They may account for this in your monthly premium.

  • Safety features: The Panamera comes with standard safety features like forward collision warning and blind-spot monitoring, which can qualify you for a discount.

How to Get Cheaper Car Insurance for Your Porsche Panamera

Insuring a Panamera can be expensive, but these strategies can help you save on your auto insurance policy:

  • Raise your deductible. A higher deductible lowers your monthly premium, since you pay more out of pocket if you file a claim.

  • Consider pay-per-mile insurance. If you don’t drive your Panamera often, a usage-based or pay-per-mile car insurance policy may help lower your insurance costs.

  • Bundle your policies. Get a multi-policy discount and save up to 25% on your premiums by bundling auto with renters or home insurance.

  • Protect your investment. Higher coverage limits help protect your assets if someone sues you. Coverage options like new-car replacement and accident forgiveness can help you avoid paying extra for replacement costs or higher rates if you total your Panamera or cause an accident.
